Discovery

This little blog of mine has really started something for me.

I started this as a way of sharing my daily ups and downs. Something to pass the time, something to do that I can point to and say "hey, I did that!"

But, since I've started this, I've been finding that my own outlook has been changing. My outlook towards keeping my home nice and clean. My outlook towards really planning things out and not just going around willy nilly trying to keep my head above water. And my outlook towards saving some money and being a bit more self sufficient and not relying on credit cards and shopping to keep myself fulfilled.

I'm not sure that's what I set out to do, but that is certainly where I've ended up.

To that end, I'm taking my blog in a slightly new direction. I have some plans for things I want to share with all of you; free printable sheets for organzing your home and life, ideas on how to become and stay organized, more fre recipes, and more tips and hints on how to save money. I just want to share with all of you the things I'm learning as well as the mistakes I'm making along the way.

I've started already with a brand new look to the blog. I've been trying to find chickens that were more modern and fun rather than the gorgeous, yet heavy looking country styled hens and roosters (that's how I'm decorating my kitchen, but I like a lighter more open look to my blog). It's still a work in progress, I need to widen it a bit and add more graphics. But, it's a definite start, since I'm learning how to do this all myself as I go. So you'll be seeing more changes.

I do hope that you'll join me on this journey. I can't promise rainbows and roses, but I do promise that it will be fun!

  2. I love it! I just started 2 months ago, and I believe it is my calling! A little advice, check into some of the mom communities...I have some listed on the left side of my blog, and they will push your blog out to more people...especially Time 4 Mommy, blogfrog, and voiceboks. Also, open a twitter account and follow as many bloggers as you can, they will follow back and you can tweet when you post a blog, then everyone will go read it, also, do as many blog hops as you can handle! I went from having 18 followers two weeks ago to 122 today! Good luck!
